! in incoming mails with outlook 2007 through exchange 2007

Hi Can anyone help

I am sending HTML emails through my CRM solution if I send one as a test to myself randomly through the email I get ! marks and they also appear in the source. I look in the origanal source of teh template and they are nowhere to be seen. The same email looks the correct with no ! in Gmail, Hotmail, thunderbird? Any ideas would be great.
