Can anyone tell me why the onBlur() event runs twice, and how I can stop it from doing so? Only runs once in NS, but runs twice in IE, thus, the same alert twice.

Haven't noticed this... can you supply some code? jared@aauser.com

I'm sorry. I should thought it out before posting.

I was using Allaire's Cold Fusion Studio, which has a "Browse" function which opens an Internet Explorer browser to the template that you are working on. It is from within this window that I was getting the double javascript runs, in a regular browser window, it doesn't happen.

Be careful that you don't set off the event again during your reaction to that event.
Sincerely,
