I am using Crystal 11, and trying to create a simple report. I am selecting records based on a dynamic parameter call "Customer name". When I use the dynamic property for this parameter it prompts me for a username and password. Is there anyway I can avoid this username and password?
Thanks.

Are you using Crystal Reports on the Desktop, or connecting to a Crystal Reports Server via a browser...?

I am connecting to a Crystal Reports Server via a browser.
Thanks for your response.

When you post RPTs with "Dynamic Parameters" to the Server products, the lists and SQL for "Dynamic Parameters" are converted into Business Views on the server that need to be managed using the desktop BUSINESS VIEW MANAGER.

There are no controls for Business Views in the CMC.

I personally steer-clear of "Dynamic Parameters" for this reason, and the fact that they are not fully-exposed through the SDKs for application integration. They work great on the desktop RPT, but not they way one would expect them to work on the server products.

Look at the KBase Article ID - c2018547 - on the Business Objects support site, and the BUSINESS VIEW MANAGER admin guide.
