I was wondering if anyone knew how to search in Active Directory for the last date/time that a computer logged into the domain. I have the additional account info tab but that only shows for users. Is there one that applies for computers.

Computers don't login to domains. Are you trying to find out when a user ona computer last logged into a domain?

I'm not sure, we have been taking back old computers and deploying new ones so there are numerous computer names that are no longer active. I want to search for those computers that no one has used in the past 6 months so I can delete the computer name.

oldcmp is what you need;

If there are no stupid questions, then what kind of questions do stupid people ask? Do they get smart just in time to ask questions?

You can also use the dsquery command:

C:\dsquery computer -inactive 8

this finds all computers that have been inactive for the past 8 weeks.

dsquery /?
