I have setup IMS but I'm having the following questions.
1. As far as I have understood when a user receives a voice mail this will be copied to both Exchange and "your telephone". If you delete the message from Exchange it should get automatically deleted from "your telephone". If you delete it from "your telephone" it should be automatically deleted from your Exchange account.
By "your telephone" I mean to pick up your handset and listen to the message.
So now I have to delete the message both from my exchange inbox and also pickup the handset and delete the message.
As you understand this is pretty annoying.
Also if I go into IMS admin and select Synchronise nothing happens (e.g. the message from exchange doesn't get deleted)
The Settings I have are Send Wave File->Send Attached
2. Another thing that happens is that if I install the IMS Client whenever I open a voice mail I can play it back OK from the sound card but when I select playback from handset I get an error message that the IMS server can't be found.
I can only assume that the 2nd problem is the "root of evil" for the 1st problem.
Are there any special settings for the client to find the IMS server?
The IMS server is on the same pc as voice mail pro with outlook 2000 client.
I have set it up just like the job aid (number 38).
Another thing is that on my client pc I have installed Outlook 2003. I noticed that it required outlook 2000 so I uninstalled and tried with outlook 2000. Don't know if any dll's got screwed up and not it doesn't work well..
Thanks
