IMS on certain clients won't go through

I'm running Exchg 5.5 Sp4 on WinNT 4.0 Server Sp6a.

For some reason or another when W2K and Win98 Clients send email (via Outlook 2000) to IM Addresses they won't get delivered? "Undeliverable"

I had a DNS & BIND 8.*.* (on WinNT 4.0 Server) Server set up as for forwarding. I stopped the BIND Services but I get the same results.

Do I enable SMTP on Exchange 5.5 Server?

I'll do more research on the web tonight.
