I was not able to find a forum for IMS database. So posting my question here.
I have a secondary index B for a database A. If I get a message 'SECONDARY INDEX WAS FULL', then does it mean that the dataset for this secondary index B is full? What could be the possible solution for this problem?
Will delete, define and copy the contents over to this dataset help?

From memory (it's been a while) IMS secondary indexes are usually VSAM KSDSs, I don't know if IMS still supports OSAM. Look up the associated DFS message in the manual. You should be able to change the space allocation fairly easily. But take an image copy first...

Do you mean to say that a image copy needs to be taken for the primary database or the secondary index only before increasing the space allocation?
