IMS Client Problems after 2.0 Upgrade

This relates to the thread940-796714 about the IMS Integration problem.
I have been running the IMS client software etc. for almost a year now, but we upgraded to 2.0 on March 31 and none of the clients (old or new versions) work.

On the first installation of IMS in 2003, I worked with Avaya and went through all of the DCOM settings on the computers and checked how the services were logging in etc...After a week, the problem was solved. Even Avaya could not figure out what change we made to make it all work and now I am in the same boat again.


I have a new case number today, but I would LOVE if anyone can tell me what I can do to fix this...I really don't want to spend and don't have the time to spend troubleshooting this program.

What would the difference be from 1.4 to 2.0?? What needs to be changed on the client side?

I have upgrading a couple of sites from 1.4 IMS to Version 2.0 IMS with no big problems.

I would suggest that you deinstall of of the server components and try again from start. Weak answer but if you have tried reconfiguring DECOM and have resetup the mail boxes in IMS admin.

I have noticed that the verson 2 IMS, does seem more unstable with IMS just seeming to stop and services having to be restarted. I think IMS would have to worst peice of IPO software availabe. The Forms also seem to uninstall themselfs from Outlook Xp even if you force the form using the switch command.

Thanks for the Info MrIPO...I played around some more with the DCOM Settings on the server side. I have gotten a little further. Instead of a login error, I get an error when trying to connect of Voice Message Form Call Rejected by Callee Error Number 80010001. Based on your new information I am going to check right now that the services are running...

My problem related to permissions of IMS account on the domain. Once I was able to start srvice IMS Gateway all worked well although some clients PCs were unable to run Outlook and IMS Client had to be uninstalled.
