IMS client and Outlook 2003

I have couple of laptops with outlook XP and IMS client installed and just working fine. Now the new laptop has Outlook 2003 and I have istalled IMS client but it seams not to work correctly as i have the attachemnt in wav instad of the phone icon and imbeded message.

is IMS client compatible with outlook 2003? what is up with that? is there a newer version?

I have a site with IMS & outlook 2003, most pc's work fine
some are miss-behaving (will play msg through handset but not pc speakers) Avaya are currently assisting with this.

How do I figure out what IMS client version I have. Maybe that is the issue.
