I have an IPO 403 running 2.1 (24) with VM Pro. My problem is IMS working with my Exchange 2000. IMS worked when I first installed and setup IMS with IPO 2.0(18) and all was well. When I went to 2.1.x, my IMS stopped working. I've tried reinstalling the DB and Gateway, changing/reseting/deleting/adding the IMS user on the domain... no luck.

When I go into the IMS Admin tool and attempt to verify my settings, it gets to "Validating license information for IMS" and then it pops up this error:

"The user CSIHQ/IMS either does not exist or could not be verified. The following error occured: The logon attempt failed."

The user is valid, it's a domain admin, has valid exchange account... everything i can think of - no worky.

Any ideas? I'll try most anything.

Here is the actual error message:

Try to start the IMS service with a local administrator account instead of a local domain administrator account.
Thats the only thing i can think of when it comes to verification of logons.
I have experienced that IMS is a very tricky peace of software were a lot can go wrong without any logical explanation

BassMonger, you every find a fix for this. I just upgraded and am going through the same thing.

Thanks
Nick
