improper spacing in a text field

I have a problem with text layout in my Access report.

I want the layout in the text field to read:
Line 1
Line 2
Line 3

but what I get is :
li
ne1 lin
e 2 l
ine 3

how can I lock the correct format in?

Is that one text box bound to one field?

yes, it is bound to one field, I tried entering text into the table using <control> enter to separate the lines, but it won't print that way on the report....

Do all text boxes behave the same?
Do all fonts behave the same?
Do all sizes of font behave the same?
Does this happen in all Access Reports?
Does this happen in all Access files?
Does this happen in all PCs?

Why are you attempting to set the wrap in the text box?
