Impromtu Catalog - Unable to add oracle view

I have created a view in Oracle 8.1.7 which i need to use in a Impromtu ( version 7 )Catalog. The problem is that views are not listed when i go to select the objects to include in the catalog. I'm assuming that there is a way to change this ie odbc preferences or something, thing is i cann't find it and the manuals been no help, so if anyone can help that would be great.

Check the instruction in thread401-543117. It details how to get views to appear in the 'Add Tables' dialog.
