My catalogue currently points to tables only in a SQL Database.

Additional data needs to be added to the catalogue and I have been asked if views can be used in addition to tables. I cannot see an option to do this. Is this possible or will I need to create additional tables to replace the views where the data is stored?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Drepso,
Shouldn't be a problem.
Steps:
1. Open catalogue open
2. Select 'Tools > Options'from the menu.
3. Uncheck the box "Retrieve database tables when editing catalog tables".
4. Select 'Catalog - Tables'.
5. Click on the newly visible 'Retrieve Tables' button.
6. In the dialogue box ('Retrieve Database Information'), there should be a grid of check boxes under 'Database Objects'.
7. Check against Views and you should now have views show up like tables.

Worked fine for me with SQLServer 2000 and Impromptu 7.1. Can't see why 7.0 would be different.
