Hello,

I want to take the sum of a column of values in Impromptu 6.
The problem is, that the first two values in the column must not get into the sum.
Is there a way to exclude the two values from the sum, but to show them in the report? It is not necessary to show them on top of the list.

Regards,
Andreas Hütt.

Are the values you want to emit static or subject to change?

Cheers,

Adam

The values are requested from a database. They change daily.

Andreas.

Oh, that obviously makes it more complex. If the values are sepcific to another value within a different column. ie. The two values are for Monday and Tuesday, you can add a calculated column using an If Then Else. Not sure if it will give you what you want....

if ( columnA not in ('Monday','Tuesday')) then (columnB )) else NULL

This will give you the column of numbers for you to sum the usual way, ommiting the values for the two figures you don't require.

Hope this helps,

Adam.

Hello Adam,

thank you very much for the tip. The problem is solved.

Greets,
Andreas.
