impromptu: stop report until hotfile date is refreshed

hello experts,
i want to use a macro in a report which refreshes the data in a hotfile. so far, this is no problem - neither the macro, nor the before-report-execution of it. but the report should wait until the hotfile is updated and not use the outdated data.
is there another way of accomplishing this but by having a third report with a macro, which starts the hotfile-update macro and the generation of the data-report itsself subsequently?
