I am trying to eliminate the need to sign into the database in Impromptu. I cannot add the password in the user profiles section to eliminate the need to enter it whenever I use the catalog. The option to input the password is greyed out. I can enter the username, but not the password.

This problem is most evident when invoking a drill through. I would like to set it up so that my users do not have to sign on to the database every time they drill through.

- In Impromptu, click Catalog, Databases.
- Select your Database driver. Click Edit.
- Click User prompts and verify the 'User ID' and 'Password' and click OK.
- Click Tools, Options, clear the 'Always show catalog logon dialog' check box.
- Click Catalog, Close. Click Catalog, Open.
- Enter User ID for Database Logon. For Catalog Logon, enter User ID and Password.
- Click Catalog, User Profiles. Click Database logon. Type the User ID and Password.
- Close the Catalog. Open the Catalog. At this point you will not be prompted to enter the User ID and Password.
