Task file name is on the C drive, I test it during the daytime 9AM, it works fine, but the Working Oder,Sales Order report have to run at 10pm, it totally can not run, no error message.
What's the problem?

Not that I'm a master of Scheduler but I can't think of anything obvious. What about system process/backups could they be interfering with the task? Have you tried running it at other times during the day/night?

Here is the detail, this is Impromptu 4, at first, my boss trying to put the C drive task (at that time scheduler runs fine) to Network Mapping "I", doesn't work, then we transferred back to C, then the problem happened. The interesting thing is I saw the first two task was running yesterday at 9pm, 9:10pm, then it stopped.

I feel there are some task queuing there and we need to delete the old task. And the scheduler had too many task to run and it confused which one to run first.

Please advise.

Sorry - no real ideas. I've used Scheduler on Impromptu 5 & 6 without any problems like yours for both single and recurring tasks. If all else fails and no-one from this forum can help you can always try Cognos.

even if you have a support contract the impromptu version 4 is not supported anymore. Can't you get an update to version 5 or 6?

Good point christenhusz but not 6.0 as support for that expired yesterday! For some reason 5.0 & 6.1 support will continue until end of September 2003 and end of December 2003 respectively.

Have you checked that user access to the machine is not denied between certain hours of the day? Check admin tool 'user manager for domains'
