Hi,
I am working with Impromptu 6.0 and I observed in one of my reports that Impromptu is not sending the Date filter to the database. The data on the report is filtered, but the date filter was not sent to the DB, because of which the report is taking a long time.
has anyone ever faced this situation, and found the reason?

thanks for your time!

Hi Dave,
I checked out the thread. My situation is queer.I am getting straight data(without any if conditions),and hte pnly filter i am using is a date filter,to get data between a prompted begin and end date. I am surprised that in such a situation Impromptu should not pass on the date filter. I tried changing the client-server options. But it didn't help. Did i miss anything?

Hi Dave,
i just found something. the date field in the report was defined as date-timeto-date function. When I took that off,Impromptu passed on the sql,and the report ran fine. So,maybe when i use Impromptu's date function,it triess to use the functions locally.
anyway, thanks for the time

No problem. Glad it worked out for you.
