hi there,

Whenever i open an impromptu report i am prompted with the question if the report should connect to the database on the catalog logon screen. Even when i have disabled the check box (always show this dialog).

I want to skip the catalog logon prompt, but how should i manage that?

Regards,

Jules

Jvaneert:
Open the catalog the catalog that is associated with that report then Catalog --> User Profiles --> Database (Tab)
Under the Database Security Options select the radio button Database Logon and enter your user id and password and you won't be prompted again.
NOTE:
You have to select the appropriate User Class and also I'm assuming that you are running Impromptu Admnistrator, if not then you have to get whoever is your Cognos administrator to set that for you for your appropriate user class...'ope this helps....John
