Hello experts,

Been crackign my brain over this one for some time and cant figure it out. Could someone please tell me how to hide a page in Impromptu based on a prompt but have everything in the report to shift up (ie the hidden page doesnt become just a blank page)

I know that this is possible but just cant figure out how to do it. Thanks in advance.

MM

MM,

It depends on what would be in the blank page if it wasn't suppressed. Tell us a little more about the report.

Hi Dave,

Thanks for your reply. Basically if the blank page wasnt suppressed id like everything else to shift up so it would be a subreport. The Page before it is really just a letter page and the prompt is just a flag that asks if a cover letter is required. Therefore if the user say 'no' the cover letter isnt required then just the subreport alone would be displayed.

Because this report can be for various transactions when the report is printed out we are wasting paper by printing out a cover letter in between each sub report when the letter is not needed. Thanks again for your help Dave.

Miniime,

If it's a cover page, what I would suggest is to put that cover page into a group header area. If you don't have an unused header in the correct area, create a dummy group at the appropriate level of the report and insert the cover page there. Make this header the proper size vertically to force the trailing output to another page. This should meet the requirements, and you can optionally hide this header based on whatever criteria you want.
