Dear friends,
pl. see the following problem and help me out to get the solution

i am getting the report like this

ename empno job sal deptno
xx1 100 clerk 2000 10
xx4 102 1500 10
xx6 108 1000 20

xx3 101 analyst 5000 40
xx4 103 1500 10

but my report should look like
ename empno job sal deptno
xx1 100 clerk 2000 10
xx3 101 analyst 5000 40

that means i should not get second record in same job catageory again.. i don't want to see two records
in clerk catageory if i group by the job.

pl. help.....
advance thanx

You need to make sure the records will only have one instance. Either take the Name, number, sal, and deptno out of the report so that you don't have multiple records for each job, or summarize the other fields so that they will come down to one value. (Minimum(ename)).

Hope this helps.
