Impromptu & XL with Format

Hi All,
I have seen many postings regarding Impromptu & SaveAs Excel with Format but still here I am asking once again .....

Our guys have a macro that has to be scheduled to save an Impromptu report to XL. SendKeys is used to save it as Excel with Format.

But it doesn't seem to workout if the server doesn't have a keyboard, they even tried with Windows handler kind of stuff & it doesn't seem to work if the system is locked.

Have anyone comeup with a solution for this?

Is there any API call to save it in XL with format or is there is any solution in the latest release of Cognos?

It has been reported here that the newest release of Impromptu (Series 7 Version 2) support the Excel with Format save option via the macro API.
