Impossible to open mail attachment

We have a problem with only a custumer that when send mails with word attachment to us is impossible to open the file because word say that is not a word document and suggest to open the file choosig file and then open from the menu but the error is the same.
The custumer send this messagge to a lot of other mail addresses but we are the only with this problem.
I have found a lot of information about the issue of the winmail.dat but nothig about this.

Is your customer using outlook? If so, have them disable Outlook Rich Text in the users AB. I am guessing they have this on and the conversion is changing the file type preventing Notes from recognizing the file. If they are not using outlook, what happens if you "detach" the file before opening?

Yes, the customer is using Outlook but the problem there's disabling rich test too, i think that this is about winmail.dat problem.
However detaching the file the prboblem is the same.
