I want to be able to export a whole scene and or objects (in one of the 3D export formats), but the "export object" option in the file menu is grayed.

After reading carefully the manual (where it seems possible and simple), i tried everything i thought of to make it work. It seems to work only when i select a terrain object (then "export object" is accessable and works).

Importing 3D files seems to work fine, though (not only for terrains). So it should work both ways, right?

Specs: Bryce 5 updated 5.1, Windows 2000, P4 450, plenty of ram.

Thanks for your help and advices!!!

Here's the thing...because Bryce isn't intended to be a modeling program, it is limited in it's exporting abilities. Unless it is a terrain, you can't export into the normal .obj/.3ds/etc. The only way you can export a scene is in a format that only Bryce can read: .obp

If you select your whole scene (you might have to group it) and click the arrow next to "Create", you are able to click "Add" at the bottom to add it to your own library. To export it, select the scene in the menu and click "Export".
