I have two databases, DB1 and DB2. I want to import them into one database using security from DB1. Both databases have security with .mdw files. I tried importing DB2 into DB1 but it says I don't have permissions to open DB2 without going through a shortcut. What is the easiest way to copy both databases together and use security from DB1?

do you have admin rights to DB2? Can you make it join the DB1 secure .mdw file that way?

I have admin rights to both databases. I have been trying opening one database and importing the other into but can't. How do I join two .mdw files into one?

I tried setting my default workgroup to the .mdw from DB1 and opening DB2 without security but I received a permissions error. I also have tried the User-Level Security Wizard through Tools - Security but can't seem to get the two together.
