Hi folks,
I know this is probably an old chestnut; but could somebady please suggest a way of converting a time field in a Dbase 4 table (in the format "nnnnn" eg 16590) into an access time format of 15:22hrs?
Ie I'm importing a Dbase4 table into an Access 2003 database using the "get External data" command but key time fields are not converted into meaningful time data..
Thanks for your help

Hello,
Depending on how much effort you want to spend (and how many times will you do this same import?) you may be able to use an "ImportSpecification". This would allow you to define the field as "Date". (Is the field in Dbase only hours or is it a full date?)

Another option may be to create a query that does a conversion. You would need to run it after the import, but the field would not be a type of "Date". There's a function that will do the conversion.
Good Luck,
Wayne
