Importing Text file problem for DTS

I have 2 SQL 2000 SP3 servers, one local, the other at a client site. I have a DTS package to FTP to get a file and then import the text file into a SQL table. On my local box works fine, at the client whether I use DTS or just try to import the file, it can't find the end of record/return for each row. Both SQL Server versions show the same with @@version. My guess is some DLL is messed up that handles the import. Anyone seen this before, was going to try calling MS today.
