Importing text file into excel

I'm trying to import a text file from the network, but it says the file may be in use. If I import the text file from my local computer, it works with no problems. Any ideas why or how to get this to work?

Your network or the network copy may be set to "read only" which could give an indication that someone else "may" be accessing the same file. You probably just need to check your rights with the network administrator, or suck the file down from the server anyway and save as it as something else.
