importing text as datetime

This may be a simple question.

When importing a text file, is there a way to import the date fields as datetime in one step?

I'm new to DTS, so I've only used the Import Wizard. Is this possible in the Wizard or do I need to create a DTS package? If so, what's the best way to convert the text to datetime?

It depends what format the date is in, in the 'text' field.

The source data isn't pretty. They use different date formats. For instance:

06/15/00
6/15/00
06/15/2000
6/15/2000
06/15/2000 12:00:00 AM
6/15/2000 12:00:00 AM
