importing (single)bitmaps

hi ,i have a question about how to import bitmaps into premier without getting automaticaly a movie of stills
with more then 100 frames
if i import 2000 frames i want to have 2000 frames and not more
can some one help me with this

In preferences there is an option to set the default number of frames for stills.
