Help....Help....,please.

I had to put a new hard drive in my computer and I had a backup copy of my Outlook Express 5 (windows 2000 Professional) mail/mail/news folders. As you can guess, my whole life is in these files & folders and are very important.

When importing messages from my backup folder into Outlook Express I had to point to the 2 mail folders (Outlook Express mail/mail and Outlook Express/mail) separately, at different times, in order to import them. 1. Some of my email messages are missing and 2. MANY of my message files are not in the correct folders.

I need to totally scrap what I've done and start over with importing. My questions are 1. when I re-import my message files, is it important that I point to the Outlook Express/mail/mail folder first and import? 2. And them import from the Outlook Express/mail folder next in this order?

Thank you so much for responding to this message.

I have had luck with just finding the folder that has the mail in it with explorer and copying the saved messages to it from the disk or folder where I had the saved mail.
