importing photoshop file into a photoshop file

i would like to bring a layered photoshop file into another photoshop file with all the layers intact. can this be done without dragging each layer at a time?

With both Photoshop files open, select a layer from one file and link the others that you want to move. Then you can drag all the layers over at once. You may need to adjust the placement of the layers inside the new file once they are copied over though.

To link the files, click in the blank square next to the eye icon in the layers palette. You should see a chain link icon appear.

...ps you have to do this with the move tool - you can't just drag from the layers palette!
