importing phone numbers from excel into outlook contacts

Outlook probably would have preferred the phone numbers be entered like this:
1234567890
and you may have had them in Excel like this:
123-456-7890
or
(123) 456-7890
If you want to try again, and you've got 123-456-7890, select the phone number column, do a find/replace. Put a hyphen in the find what box. Don't put anything in the replace with box. You can do a similar fix for the second and/or other formats.
