Just a quick question but some background first:

I've setup another hard drive with xp pro, for my wife, and installed all her main programs. As part of the way I setup her original install I have all her data files, ie: internet temp files, outlook express mail, office work data, etc. on different partitions and drives. So when I change out her OS drive I don't lose any data. I'm used to doing this with outlook express and can simply point the program in the right direction to access her old mail files. However outlook 2000 seems a little different and I haven't figured out how to get it to see and use the mail files on the other drive.

So, if anyone can clear this up by providing a walkthrough or point me to a good site I'd appreciate it!

thanks in advance

Cheers

Outlook 2000 can not directly use OE's mail store. You'll need to use File, Import.....

thx smah

I looked at that option but it apprears you can only import one folder at a time...not a big deal usually but she has dozens of folders! So, I setup outlook express and imported all her mail and contacts then setup outlook 2000 and did a quick import of addresses and messages! It may not be a pretty solution but it worked!

Thanks again for your suggestion

Cheers
