Importing Lotus Notes email messages into Outlook

I will really appreciate if somebody advises me how to get many email messages out of a workstation which uses Lotus Notes as its email system and import them into another standalone computer which runs Microsoft Outlook.

Hi,

For the Notes part: You can export the data to a TXT file using the File->Export option.

You might want to try different options that will result in different kinds of data (whole document or only the view data)

Also: you can build a custom view to be able to select the fields you want and the order. This requires experience with Notes programming however.

Note that Richt Text formatting will get lost with these ways.

Then you will have to find a way to import these messages into Outlook.

Hope this gets you started already a little bit.

A more advanced way would be to write an agent that forwards each message to the new mailbox while keeping the original "From" field. You will also need some programming experience for this however.


I have more experience the other way around ;-)
