I have to insert an image in flash movie. Image has been created in Adobe photoshop 5.5 having emboss effect, image is saved in .jpg & .gif format. but the problem is when i import that images in flash thru file > import the images are getting blured & distort. So is there any solution ?

I don't have any such problems importing .pngs or .gifs coming from Photoshop 4.0. I doubt it would be different with the latest versions of Photoshop.
Have you tried importing a .png or .gif that you didn't convert! Any one off the web, or on your machine?

B-)

have you checked that the publish settings aren't compressing your images further?

I've had that happen to me with Photoshop 6... But the compression in the end part of the published verion of flash I had flash compressing the images more... And .gif LOL LOL LOL I haven't had nothing but trouble with them.. off the web and the ones I make.... Also if you want you could, not compress the image in Photoshop and just import them and then compress.. That works the best I've found... Hope this helps.. Melocco............

Hi Para,

I would probably import the jpeg version, not the gif, particularly if you have an emboss effect on it.
And then, Dave is probably right, I would check the publish settings.
Good luck
Patricia

Just as a follow on to what I said:

Flash automatically compresses your images further unless you specify otherwise in the 'publish-settings'.
