In the good old days, when I wanted to import several images from the same folder into Quark, I would import the first image, then hit "Get Picture", and Quark would automatically navigate to the last folder I imported from. Now, in the new evil empire, every time I hit "Get Picture", Quark defaults to "Administrator's Computer", and I'm forced to navigate through all my sub-folders until I get back to the same folder I was just at. This is incredibly annoying. Is there a fix for this?
Also, in the good old days, I would use Command+Tab and Command+Shift+Tab to toggle between the item tool and the content tool, which saved me a lot of mouse-dragging. These commands were also the system's keyboard shortcuts for switching to the next (or previous) application in the application list, but you could disable this in the OS System preferences. Now, post-good-old-days, these are the two bloody commands I can't seem to disable, and my ingrained reaction to use these commands keeps taking me out of Quark. Does anyone know of any way to turn these off in the OSX System Preferences?
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks.
