Hi to everyone,

I have a major task of adjusting a whole lot of stock items in the different IC Locations that we have in ACCPAC so what has been is to create separate excel files(with fields, "Item Number","Item Description","Location","Cost Adjustment" and "Transaction Type").
What I was hoping is to just import those files into IC from the IC Adjustments window but i get the following error, "Table Adjustment_Headers does not exist. Please specify an existing table."
Can anyone help me by outlining the steps that i have to follow in order to successfully import these files.
These files are so big and it would be a pain to go into IC adjustments and add these adjustments Item by Item.Pls help.thank you

Check you Excel spreadsheets, you need a sheet name "Adjustment_Headers" and "Adjustment_Details" as weel as ranges named "Adjustment_Headers" and "Adjustment_Details".

Hi ettienne
The sheet name part of your answer I understand and yes I do have the sheet names you mentioned. What I don't understand is the range part of the answer, where do i define the ranges you defined?
I have even tried exporting the adjustment file from ACCPAC and used the same headers in my file as those used in the export file(for the fields that I have in my file).

Also check your export file, you will see it hase the range names defined.

Ok I have been able to define the ranges now I have one more problem and it has to do with the compulsory fields that I need to have in my file.
In Adjustment_Headers sheet i have the following fields:
-DOCNUM
-HDRDESC
-TRANSDATE
-REFERENCE
And in Adjustment_Details sheet I have the following fields:
-ITEMNO
-ITEMDESC
-LOCATION
-TRANSTYPE
-EXTCOST
May you you please assist me as to which required fields I'm missing.Thanx

All fields marked with a red *, and detail quantity, unit of measure and adj/write-off account.

I have tried to include all the required fields in my file, but now i get a database error.
I understand that "sequence number" is a link between the two sheets(Adjustment_Headers and Adjustment_Details) but what does "Line number" refer to in Adjustment_Details and is there any sequence that i must follow when numbering these two?
I don't know if the fields that i have on my sheet are enough to make a valid record that can be addedd into the database.in Adjustment_Headers I have:
-ADJENSEQ
-DOCNUM
-HDRDESC
-TRANSDATE
-REFERENCE
And in Adjustment_Details I have:
-ADJENSEQ
-LINENO
-ITEMNO
-ITEMDESC
-LOCATION
-TRANSTYPE
-QUANTITY
-UNIT
-EXTCOST
These are exactly as they follow each other on my file. Am I still missing some?

1. Enter an IC adjustment
2. Save the adjustment
3. Export the adjust to Excel selecting the fields you need + the key fields
4. Import the file. If the import fails then repeat step 3 and select more fields until the import works.

That's how we all do it.

From the adjustments window I'm only able to export all adjustments not one adjustment unless i'm missing something.Im now getting a database error even from the unmodified export file(with all fields from ACCPAC). This is really frustrating!
