Hello all,

We have a client XP PRO SP2 which is not picking up the GPO its suppose to, we think its because its the only client in this OU (2000 others in the same OU that pick up the policies just fine) that is running EVDO, we're not sure though.

Is there a way to manually apply GPOs to this client?

Thanks!

what happens when you run a Policy Results Wizard from the GPMC? It should show why it's not getting them.

Then, from the PC, run a gpupdate /force
to see if they manually update.

From a command prompt on the machine run gpupdate to pull down the policies. gpresult will tell you what policies are applied to the machine.

the reason I ask is because the user policy is not being pulled down for what ever reason.

we did a gpupdate /force logged in as the user we need the policies to load for as well as a gpresult /user domain\username to get the results for the specific user.

Do you guys know of a way to import GPO setting which are basically registry setting into this client?

Perhaps going into the clients directory: %root%\system32\groupPolicy\User and replacing the Registry.pol file with a known good one?

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Thanks again.
