When I import a GAL (after modifying the csv file) from the corp. office, some of users names end up in our recipients folder instead of the corp. container. Does anyone have a clue why this is happening? We are using Exchange 5.5 sp4.

Container can be specified in the file, it's a column called obj-container. You can overide this with the 'Always use selected container' radio button on the Import screen, this will then import all objectd from the CSV into the container you specify on the Import screen.

Does anyone know if its possible to put users in the GAL of Exchange 5.5 without giving them mailboxes?

Can you explain more what you mean? The Exchange GAL can contain external addresses, these are known as Custom Recipients.

Yes it was the custom receipts that I was looking for.. Thank you for your help!!
