Hi guys,
I was wondering if anyone could help me on a small problem:

I've used premiere for a while, and was hoping to export my project into after effects, however, in after effects, the import file command only says "*.ppj" as the import file for premiere. My projects, however, come out as a "*.prproj" and thus it will not allow me to import straight from premiere!!!

how do i fix this? are there any patches that allow me to do this, or is there a simple command in premiere that changes the extension name??

Thanks for your time!

hey kitten what i did was right clicked in the peoject window in after effects that is and then i chose import/file the in the file type drop down i selected All Acceptable Files then browsed to my premiere pro project file and walla there it is in after effects ready to edit in to motion graphics heaven note tho that you cannot save back to the premiere pro file type and go back to premiere in the way you just did in after effects i hope that made some sense

Hi six,
Thanks for your reply, are you managing to import premiere pro files into after effects 6? as mine won't read anything above premiere 6 :(
when i select "all acceptable media" the "*.prproj" files disappear! and if i just click "all files" to display, and import as a premiere proj, it says it only accepts premiere 5 and 6 files

i think i need to upgrade to the latest after effects, 6.5 maybe that solves it, does anyone know?
Thanks!
