I have a macro set up to import from excel - and it has worked many times - but I now get "cannot import from an empty database" error message - Everything seems the same as before but I can't get it to import - Any ideas ??

You may have a column in the Excel spreadsheet that has a blank value in the first row. Or you may have changed the column headers (field names). You will need to go into the macro Import command and reset it if the second suggestion is what is wrong.

I get this error consistently with Excel 2007. The SaveAs DBF function used to work in previous versions of Excel, but Microsoft removed this. I do a SaveAs Microsoft 5.0/95 Workbook and then am able to import.
