I have been trying to Import to Project using Excel. I wanted to test changing the duration from days to hours
These were my steps:
Exported a Project file to Excel
Changed the days to hours through a formula calculation
Formatted the cells to show the #.###"h" format as opposed to the #.###"d" (for days)
Copied the values to the duration column on the Excel to Project Template excel file.
Imported through the import wizard.

Problems:
1st: For some reason an error keeps coming up that says that my final line item occurs before the project start date (which isn't true)
2nd: In the duration column, the values are coming up as days instead of hours.

I am going to keep working on it, but if anyone has any suggestions, I'm sure they will be helpful.

thanks

Duration is a derived field. You cannot set it during an import. Your formula should work on the Finish date.

That answers my question.

Thank you very much.
