When importing from excel the only date I have used is for the main project under teh finish column. I tell Project to schedule from the finish date but it does not save that setting under the project information dialogue box. I beleive because of the wizard ignores it during the import. So to summerize I am importing the ID, task, predessors, duration, outline level, start (blank), and finish date that only has a date for the main project that I want it to backward schedule using the duration time for each task. Hope that make sense. I am on MS project std 2003.

Thanks

I don't believe that value can be exported and, additionally, cannot be imported.

For the others reading this, the field Jay is referring to is found in Project | Project Information and is called "Schedule From".
