PSP XI and Vista, i am trying to download a font from DaFont.com, and i open them in win rar. i try to drag them into the appearance section but it doesn't work. I also cannot open it in PSP, it says " this specified file cannot be identified as a support type".

You need to install the Font from Windows, then PSP can use it.

Not to familiar with Vista, but I'm pretty sure, there should be a Fonts folder in Control Panel, where you can install the font. Once that is done, close and re-open PSP, and the font should be available from the fonts drop down when you add text.

the thumbnail for the font isnt the same as the others. It wont let me drag it in.

Dafont.com usually serves their fonts in Zip file format. You need to unzip it before installing it.

In Windows Vista, double clicking the zip file should open it up, you can then right click on the font file and select Install or drag it over to the fonts folder.

ok, i dowloaded the Olho de boi font from da-font in a win rar format. then i extract the two (OLHO-DE-BOI.jpg, and OLHOD___.TTF) they have windows thumbnails. Then when it appears on my desktop it is a PSP image. I click it and it opens in psp, then it says "the specified file cannot be identified as a supported type" this is buggin me! i need these fonts. thanks for the help so far!

As I said, You need to install the fonts from WINDOWS before Paint Shop Pro can use them.

Right click the OLHOD__.TTF file and select INSTALL.

That should install the font into the system.

Then if you have Paint Shop Pro opened, close it, and re-open it. The font should then be available for use from the Fonts Drop Down.
