Can anyone make any suggestions as to the use of flash footage in after effects - i'm required to export out footage that is broadcast quality - so I'm animating out to the correct aspect res for PAL D1 - using double the frame rate to compensate for interlacing the fields(i can adjust the timings in the Avid) but i'm still having issues regarding flicker and line quality(the lines in flash are larger than 1 pixel ) and I'm watching my colours (generally using a color chart adjusted from within photshop to NTSC colors) - what render settings should I be using to render it out in AE?
(i've also tested my field settings to be upper field first for import into the AVID)

What version of AE are you using? you say you've got the footage into AE but it is the output you are struggling with? What form of avid is it?

So far I have had limited success getting SWFS into AE but I am running the basic version of 5. Did it very well though by outputting my swf from flash, running it with a screen capture program running, which digitised it as an uncompressed AVI at the correct pixel aspect etc and then output from AE was not a problem. Give that a go.

Otherwise you could try exporting an image sequence from AE to import into Avid, I know that's quite common when going to online....

Hope that helps

John
