Could anyone tell me step-by-step, or how I can find information on how to download my current database which is in Excel, to GoldMine? I really, really would appreciate some input, as I feel like I'm sinking into a deep hole. Thanks
Julie

I can give you the cheap answer, which is to do a tools|import\export wizard, but I get the impression you have a greater need than that. I can help, but alot depends on the whats and wheres of your file.

The first thing is that GoldMine does not import excel.

What kind of a file do you have, and where do you want things to go?

Importing into contact1 and contact2 is a relative breeze, but you'll need some serious help if you need to put things anywhere else like additional contacts, history, or details. Michael Phipps

Julie,

You have to first convert Excel file to .Dbf file (i.e. by saving excel file - filename.xls to filename.dbf).Then goto Tools|Import/Export|Imort contact records. Create a new profile. Set the path. Then map the contacts/feilds as required and import the records.
