Importing Fields

I have 4900 records in 10 Filemaker Pro databases (over 800 fields) linked by a common field (cust_Number). Each DB contains different info on a client, some fields contain multiple notes by dates. I need to convert all to an ACT 6 data base (ACT4Advisors).
Are ther any tools/utils that will do one or more of the following?

a) link the FM db's together into one?
and/or
b) allow me to map or create a map linking the fields that are common in ACT such as names, addresses, etc., while also automatically creating new fields in the ACT 6 db that exits in the FM db's?

Hello CeltBaemon,
ACT! does not import FMP data directly. You will have to convert the data to Text - Delimited (Tab or CSV) first.

Is one of the FMP databases the main contact information and the other 9 are accessed via portals to show related information? I would suggest condensing as much of the data into an Excel spreadsheet before importing into ACT!

Thanks Michael,

The problem is not with the importing. It is having to avoid typing in all of the field names in act, and then mapping the import. Also, I would love to consolidate in excel. However, excel has a limitation of rows/columns in which my data would easily exceed.

Hello CeltDaemon,
I am not aware of any utility that will create the fields for you. Think of it as an opportunity to review the current FMP fields and determine which ones must/have to be imported into ACT! and which ones can be left behind.

Do you have access to Quattro Pro (Corel)? it does not suffer from the row/column limitations that Excel does. Otherwise you will have to wait for Office 12, as I have heard that Excel will support 1 million rows. Not sure if that is true, but it is what I have read.
