Hi All
I am having real problems with that old chestnut, importing Excel to Access. The Database i am uploading into is the main table which underpins SAGE Job Costing. I have been able to successfully upload the data and view uploaded data in front end SAGE but am then unable to use SAGE normally!!! Possible problems include something with the Sequential numbering which is included in the database (although i have tried uploading a random higher number and this still makes no difference) also the status of my uploaded information. Am i missing something blatantly obvious here? The SAGE helpdesk helpfully tell me that what i am trying to achieve can be done but they will not point me in any direction.

When you say that Sage is not working normally, what is it not allowing you to do?

So is it not allowing you to add new jobs into sage?

Had you already created Jobs within Sage Job Costing?

Hi there,

Basically Sage is not allowing me to add any further transactions ie PIs etc. the table i have uploaded to stores all transactions within SAGE Job Costing. Following from my posting this query here i have ascertained that the data is stored in two tables. TblTransaction and TblStandardBillStatus. Maybe i am uploading to the incorrect table? The latter table has a sub datasheet hidden behind each variable so i am unsure how to upload to this, if that is the correct method.
