I have been trying to import Word documents with images from Word into InDesign. But when its all imported the images end up all over the place. Is there any way to import a Word document with images into InDesign and keep it as it was in Word?

Cheers, :p

The best thing to do is to remove those images that are imported from the Word file - they are not anchored and therefore will land whereever they chose AND those images are degraded in the final print process - to properly Place the images in the (or any) InDesign file which you have created from the (a) Word file chose File > Place, which will then allow you to Link to those images if you have them in an image folder. Which you should when creating an InDesign file, as a standard practice.

If you have CS2 you can then anchor the images in InDesign where you want them to remain in the text. It is a good practice to get into - Placing Images I mean. I would never recommend bringing images in through Word. That is just my two cents though, hope it helped.
